Brittany and Cody started their day with a first look just above the beach. Cody’s reaction when he turned around was so precious, and I was so glad that they got to enjoy that moment together. It was one of those moments that reminds me why I love capturing intimate weddings and traditional weddings! When it’s just the two of you, every single moment is so special because there are literally no distractions. Nothing (and no one) is competing for your attention, and you’re completely soaking it all in together.

After their first dance, we moved into bride and groom portraits, and the lighting was so dang good! We had that warm cinematic glow that makes Oahu sunsets so incredible. And then came one of my favorite parts of the whole day: the trash the dress moment! Brittany walked straight into the ocean in her dress, and it felt so fun and spontaneous. And because there were no guests to manage or vendors to coordinate with, everything unfolded completely relaxed and unhurried.
