As a professional photographer in destination work I will be sharing my advice and expertise on the top 6 best destination locations for weddings in 2025 & 2026 in this blog. I love travelling for weddings and I cannot wait to share the best destinations for you to say your vows at this coming year. These locations vary from tropical, to historical, to mountains. There is a location for everyone here!
1. Hawaii
It is really hard for me to not put Hawaii at number 1 for your destination wedding locations. This is where I am based & where I do a lot of my work! Hawaii is stunning in every aspect! From multiple islands to choose from, to water on every side, gorgeous mountains, beaches, and tropical weather. There is so much to love about Hawaii. What’s great about Hawaii is that it is still a part of the USA so you don’t have to get a different permit to get married here. If you are a US citizen you are good to go! You just have to get a marriage license from the state of Hawaii.
Hawaii wedding venues:
Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa. This venue can hold up to 300 guests and is located in Lahaina, HI. It has a gorgeous outdoor area for your ceremony & reception.

The Leahi Room & Lanai by Deck is located in Honolulu, HI. It can hold up to 150 guests for your wedding. Being in the middle of Honolulu allows for easy access to all that this city has to offer.

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is stunning & located in Lahaina, HI. It can hold up to 300 guests, making it a great option for a bit destination wedding! The views at this resort are also so stunning!

Waimea Valley is a wedding venue that has won a couples choice award. It is a park and outdoor venue located in Haleiwa, HI. This venue also has a capacity of around 300 guests for your special day. They have multiple different venues for all your needs!

2. Italy

Italy is one of the best countries I have had the privilege of travelling to, and arguably one of the best locations to share your vows. There is so much culture, cuisine, and nature to enjoy in Italy! Why not tie the knot in one of the most romantic wedding locations.
Italy wedding venues:
Guadalupe Tuscany Resort is a country resort in Italy, hosting up to 50 people for your small, intimate wedding. Just 15 km from the coast, this venue has much to offer. Located on premise is a vineyard, pool, and resort to stay at.

Il Salviatino Firenze, located in Tuscany, is one of the most popular and stunning wedding locations in Italy. This venue has a bigger capacity of up to 250 people. A 15th century hotel on the hillside of Tuscany, this venue is magical.

SPAO Borgo San Pietro Aquaeortus is located in Perugia, Italy. This venue is a literal castle! Such a magical and stunning place to say your vows.

3. Mexico
Another great destination wedding location is Mexico! If you are looking for a tropical and warm place, but don’t want to travel as far as Europe or New Zealand, Mexico is the place for you! Not only do you have the stunning beaches, there are so many all-inclusive resorts to choose from as well, making the experience easy & stress-free.
Mexico wedding venues:
Casa Karma is a venue located in Puerto Vallarta. This venue can host up to 120 guests outdoors or inside. This is one of my favorite Mexico venues – just look at the views!!

Hilton Los Cabos is located in San Jose del Cabo. The beaches in this part of Mexico are stunningly white, and the water is crystal blue. Get married out on the beach at this Hilton!

Martoca Weddings is another gorgeous outdoor venue located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Many people have a lot of great things to say about this venue. Their communication is top-tier, and there are a lot of things that come included in your venue package when you get married here.

Corazon Cabo Resort & Spa – last but not least. This venue is one of the top destination wedding venues. Located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, this venue offers professional and accurate communication and services. Have your wedding on their rooftop with 360 views of the ocean & beaches!

4. Portugal
Portugal is one of my favorite countries I have been to! Portugal is very low cost, making it a great location to have a wedding! The beaches are also gorgeous!! There is so much to love about this place.
Portugal wedding venues:
Penha Longa Resort. A high-quality, luxury resort & wedding venue located in Sintra, Portugal. It can hold up to 600 guests, depending on which part of the venue you choose.

The Vintage House Hotel is a hotel with a gorgeous view of river flowing right through Douro Valley. This venue holds up to 140 guests and is unique with mountains, palm trees, and vineyards right on the property.

Casa Sacoto is another hotel venue located in . It can hold up to 90 people for your smaller wedding. This venue is located in the vineyards and farm land of Portugal, making it a very unique space to say your vows & fully be surrounded by the people you love!

Casa Monte Cristo Collection is a wedding venue located in the heart of the Algarve or Portugal. This is one of my favorite locations in Portugal, because you not only get the city & tropical landscapes, you get the beautiful water and beaches of southern Portugal! This venue has a guest capacity of 100.

5. Greece
Greece is one of my top bucket list locations!! I always recommend this location when couples aren’t sure where they want to get married. Greece offers a very elegant, luxury, and simplistic vibe for your wedding day. The Greeks know how to host a wedding!

Canaves Oia Suites is located in Santorini, Greece. This venue is one of the best venues in Greece for an intimate wedding option. Say your vows with a typical Greek view!

Venetsanos Winery, also located in Santorini. This Santorini wedding venue can hold up to 120 guests. This venue showcases incredible views of the bay, while also having the views of the typical Greek architecture.

Bello Blu Luxury Villa is a dreamy wedding venue that isn’t ask well-known. This venue can host maximum of 130 guests, and you can even stay on site. Located in Rhodes, Greece.

6. Spain
Spain is a culturally rich country, making it a beautiful place to get married. What’s also great is that your wedding ceremony will be recognized as legal, so there is no other complications involved. The buildings and architecture in Spain are unlike ones I’ve ever seen before.

Villa Luisa is a gorgeous venue located in Seville, Spain. Seville is one of my favorite Spanish cities. It is very underrated, and in my opinion, prettier than some of the other cities. There is rich history here!

Castell de Sant Marcal is a castle located in Catalan, Spain. This venue offers beautiful fountains, and even a garden where you can have your ceremony in!

Castell Son Claret. A luxury castle venue at the foot of the Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains. Lined with palm trees and mountains, you cannot go wrong with this venue!

La Farinera Sant Lluis. An exclusive and unique wedding venue, located in Pont de Molins. This venue has breathtaking and beautiful gardens, along with various areas to say your vows and have your reception party!
