What started as a laid-back couples session with Beth and Jim at the stunning Kikaua Point Park on the Big Island of Hawaii turned into the sweetest surprise engagement, and neither of us saw it coming! These two were just visiting the island and wanted to document their time together with a beachy session.
Halfway through, Beth stepped away to change into her second outfit, and I casually joked with Jim, “I’m surprised you didn’t message me to turn this shoot into a proposal!” He said, “Well… I actually have the ring with me. I’ve been trying to figure out when to do it. Would you be okay if I proposed now?” I just about screamed (in the best way). Of course I said YES! A few minutes later, Beth turned around to find Jim down on one knee. It was such an honor to witness and capture their real-time engagement — totally unplanned and completely unforgettable!
