When Emilia and Shark decided to elope in Joshua Tree National Park, I knew it would be something special! The beautiful landscape of Joshua Tree, with its large boulders and twisted trees, creates the perfect setting for couples who want the natural desert beauty surrounding them. This nontraditional wedding was nothing short of stunning, and every moment felt like it was wrapped in a super magical desert light. It’s no secret that I love going to dreamy wedding destinations with couples and capturing their big day!

Stunning Nontraditional Wedding Details in Joshua Tree

This nontraditional wedding had so many stunning details that left me in awe! Emilia looked gorgeous with her gown blowing in the desert breeze, while Shark’s classic black suit added just the right touch of elegance against the rugged scenery. Even the delicate white flowers mixed perfectly with the earthy views. The best part was when the sun began to set, it was like the whole desert transformed! The warm golden light dipped below the horizon, turning everything into cool, soft tones of blue hour! I was able to capture dreamy variations of lighting, each adding its own unique vibe to Emilia and Shark’s unforgettable elopement, and the photos are to DIE for!

Tips on Tying the Knot in Joshua Tree National Park

If Emilia and Shark’s elopement is inspiring you to have a wedding in Joshua Tree National Park, there are a few things to keep in mind to make the most of this incredible location! First, think about the time of year and weather – fall and spring have milder temperatures that might be more comfortable. Summer can be extremely hot, while winter nights can get chilly, so plan accordingly. Also, you’ll need a Special Use Permit for a wedding in the park, which you can obtain through the National Park Service website. Make sure to apply well in advance since receiving your permit can be a slow process. As for what to bring, be prepared for the desert’s conditions: bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes for walking on uneven terrain. With a bit of planning, Joshua Tree can offer a stunning backdrop for your wedding!
